Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing...
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
my dad.
i really dont think of my parents or even grandparents as old, but rather that they are there.  they are my parents.  that none of them is all that technically competent is just *shrug* that they grew up in different times.  and they are just working against the learning curve.

but every once in a while they like to shock the crap outta me.  like the time that my grandparents sent me an email.  i was like wtf ?  this is another one of those times.  my dad has this old reel to reel thing that i think pre-dates 8-tracks.  And he recently asked me how could he move all that data (music) to cd's.  so, you know, i described all the pieces that he would need and didnt really think much more of it, even when he said that he got it to work.

then i get an email ( miracle in itself ) that i have a package enroute, and lo and behold, i am playing the cd.

dad you are awesome.  in the words of my sister:

“I REMEMBER THIS SECOND SONG.  This is the jam!!!”

nuff said.

Track 01 from the album “Dads Funky Gospel Mix of The 80's - 19820528” by Various Artists

Very cool. I love getting those surprises from family also. I'm still waiting for the day that my dad can work his DVD player. =)
